Das Booth

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is your travel policy
A: We do not charge for travel if it is within a 40-mile radius of Fremont, CA.

Q: How does the photobooth work?
A: Great question!  The people taking photos will first get to choose their props from a table located next to the booth, then the attendant makes sure everyone is ready before starting the photo countdown.  After the photos are taken, the strips will be printed out using our high-speed photo printer, ready to be distributed!

Q: Do I get the digital copies of my photos?
A: Yes, a digital version will be available via photo sharing service, USB, or email. (Additional charges may apply)

Q: What equipment is used?
A: We use either a Sony A7II mirrorless camera, or a Canon EOS Rebel DSLR

Q: What is the resolution of images?
A: Every photo taken by Das Booth will be the highest non-RAW format the camera allows

Q: Is there a deposit?
A: We require a 50% non-refundable retainer to secure your event date.  The final 50% balance is due two weeks before the event date.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?
Any request for a date change must be made in writing at least 14 days in advance of the original event date. Change is subject to photo booth availability and receipt of a new Service Contract. If there is no availability for the alternate date, the deposit will be refunded minus a $150 cancellation fee.  See our policy page for more info.

Q: Does the package hour include set-up time?
A: Nope!  Every Das Booth event comes with a 1-hour setup that is not part of the package time.

Q: What is an idle hour?
A: An idle hour is a time where the booth will not be running.  Some clients prefer to have this for longer events, such as weddings.  Since fewer people will be taking photos during dinner, for example, there is a cost savings benefit to having the idle hour rather than a functional hour.

Q: What is a green screen?
A: A green screen is a premium backdrop choice where the client will be able to choose an image that gets replaced by the 'green' backdrop, just like in the movies!

Q: What is a lederhosen?
A: A lederhosen is a traditional Bavarian men's breeches, or an article of clothing covering the body from the waist down.  It is commonly worn during Oktoberfest events around the world.
